SGCDpro's Design Excellence Awards will premiere at Deco '09 in Las Vegas. Winners will be selected by attendees in the 10 categories listed below. The Vandenoever Award will be selected by attendees as well while the Bord of Director's will vote on a special Directors Award. All entries will be displayed in the Design Gallery throughout Deco '09.

  12. Technical achievement
    (decoration bearing a new or innovative technique)

Best of Show

Vandenoever Award: Named for Bert Vandenoever, former SGCDpro President (1973) and a master craftsman in copper wheel engraving, this award goes to the "best of show" selected by popular ballot vote of attenders.

Director's Award will be presented to the piece judged best overall by the Society's Board of Directors.
